Adjustment Scales
Several of our
short-form assessment scales focus on problems in dyadic
relationships. It is very important to understand that our
assessment scales are not measures of
psychopathology. We regard all of our client assessment scales
as measures of personal and social functioning. They also can
be regarded as measures of problems in living but they are not
designed as measures of psychopathology.

Index
of Marital Satisfaction (IMS)
The IMS is designed
to measure the severity of problems in a dyadic relationship.
Scores range from 0 to 100 where higher scores indicate more
severe problems in the relationship.
Reliability: .90 or
greater.
Validity: .60 and greater.

of Sexual Satisfaction (ISS)
The ISS is designed
to measure the severity of problems in the sexual component of
a dyadic relationship. Scores range from 0 to 100 where higher
scores indicate greater problems with sexual discord.

Abuse Scale: Non-Physical (PASNP)
The PASNP is
completed by the abuse victim and is designed to measure the
severity of problems with non-physical abuse in a dyadic
relationship. Scores range from 0 to 100 where higher scores
indicate greater amounts of non-physical abuse.

greater.
Validity: .60 and greater.
